Shalom and Welcome to NFTY
NFTY-NEL brings together Reform Jewish Teens from Northern Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, Western and Upstate New York, and the province of Ontario (except for Windsor). Our members come together at many times during the year for learning, fun, worship, community service, and fellowship to help young Jewish adults throughout the region build and strengthen lifetime ties with each other and Reform Judaism. Fall Kallah – Mitzvah Corps, – Cleveland, OH (TEFTY, SUBTY, WESTY), October 21 – 23, 2011
This event is open to all NFTY – NEL members and Advisors. It includes a hands-on social action experience.
Winter Kallah/Debates– Thornhill, ON (TAKAY), December 2-4, 2011
This event is open to all NFTY – NEL members and Advisors. The general theme for the weekend revolves around Israel or the Arts. We are looking at combining the Debates / competition event and Winter Kallah this year in an attempt to free up calendar space for TYG programming, reduce the number of events parents need to pay for over the course of a year and increase interest and participation in the debates event.

Canadian – Toronto, ON (LOTSSY), January 13 – 15, 2012
US – Cleveland, OH (CLEFTY), February 3 – 5, 2012
This event is only a possibility right now. It was added to the calendar to see if there is any interest. We would need to find at least two locations (1 US and 1 Canadian) that would be willing to host the teens from their own country. Programming would be run by the Regional Board with the help of TYG Presidents and TYG MVPs.
NFTY Veida, TBD February 17 – 21, 2012
This North American Program is open and recommended to all Regional Executive Board members. North American Elections and business meeting will be held during this program.
Spring Boards- Buffalo, NY (TBAZY) March 23 – 25, 2012
This event is open to all current Regional Board members, those running for regional board position and 3 voting delegates from each TYG and Advisors. This is the final board meeting of the term and elections for the upcoming Regional Board.
Spring Kallah - L’dor Vador, Camp George April 20 – April 22, 2012
This event is open to all NFTY – NEL members including current 8th graders and Advisors. Along with a full weekend of innovative programming the event includes an.8th grade track including an introduction to the region and its traditions, Installation of the newly elected Regional Board and a special senior farewell program.
